Now for the reason..

That they call me the "Music Junkie".

I'm gonna do a little something I've wanted to do for a while, I'm going to name MY top 10 albums of the last 10 years.

Some you may agree on, some you may not, but that's fine, it's my opinion.

#10 "I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love" by My Chemical Romance- 2002. The little rock band that could made their debut, not by politely knocking, but by kicking the damn door down. An amazing album, by a band that would disappoint me in comparison with their next two outings.

#9 "Discovery" by Daft Punk- 2001. In my opinion, the ONE album that got me into techno, the perfect mix of slow and heavy dance music.

8 "The College Dropout" by Kanye West- 2004. Honestly one of 4 rap Cd's I can currently listen to front to back at this point, and one of only 2 on this list. a near perfect rap Cd, if there ever was one. Wests' break-out hit "Through the Wire" was even recorded while his jaw was sewn shut.

#7 "The Cool" by Lupe Fiasco- 2007. To this day, still one of the greatest rappers of our generation, Lupe Fiasco returns with his sophomore record "The Cool" further proving that geeks can rap, and still be smooth.

#6 "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out"- by Panic! at the Disco- 2005 An eclectic mix of big beat, classical, and dance music for the Las Vegas quartet, a big risk in the eyes of many, and a risk that paid off in spades. Their follow up "Pretty. Odd." is on the list as well, we'll get to that.

#5 "Songs About Jane" by Maroon 5- 2002 We've all heard our share of break-up songs, but you really have to fuck someone over to get a break-up ALBUM and that's what happens when you screw over Adam Levine. Artistically near perfect in my opinion.

Here's where the list gets a bit wonky...

#4 "The Bedlam in Goliath" by The Mars Volta- 2008 Wow, a nice dose of Prog/psychedelia/jam music, the remnants of De Facto release their 4th album as The Mars Volta, and do not disappoint, using every bit of their musical arsenal, the group records a sonic masterpiece that can only be described as...whoa...

#3 "Pretty. Odd." by Panic at the Disco- 2008 The Vegas quartet does it again with their second outing, give a nod to The Beatles with a folk-y, trippy rock odyssey, many people saw this as a misguided jump, most praised them for their genre leap, though it is to note, after this album, Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left, citing creative differences.

#2 "Sams Town" by The Killers- 2006 Surprise surprise, another Vegas band, what can I say, the Killers are brilliant, and Sams Town only further proves it, it has the sound of a classic rock album, embedded in a modern masterpiece, and not many Cd's can say that.

Well...I said in the beginning that this list was PURE opinion, and #1 is partially the reason for said claim.

#1 "Franz Ferdinand" by Franz Ferdinand- 2004 I've always had a thing for lead singers with odd voices, and Alex Kapranos and his Scottish band, really peak my interest, it's a great dance CD as well as a CD to sit and chill to, and thats really why I thought it was the best, it's a cd for all occasions.

Fuck last night.

Last night at work can only be described with one word, shitty, the customers sucked, the weather sucked, the night just sucked all together. Oh well, I got today through Wednesday off to cool down and recover, maybe see Caitlin, or Billy/Barb, play some Magic, who knows.

On the other hand, I DID get to talk to my Sunshine yesterday, even though she threw me off of my schedule by about 30-45 mins, it was worth it. And I did pick up a couple new games, Golden Sun, and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones.

And apparently, starting a blog when my friend does means that I'm copying him...teh fuck? Oh well, life moves on, hittin up Ihop for breakfast in about an hour, so...I suppose I oughta wrap this one up...well, fuck it, sleep is for the weak.

So I guess I'll dabble a bit more into the events of yesterday, pretty much I woke up and began getting ready for work, when I got a call from Amanda, so we got to talking, and I pretty much on the spot kinda reconnected with her. It was like we hadn't stopped talking for as long as we did.

I'm realizing more, and more who my new musical hero is, Max Bemis from Say Anything. The man is a G-E-N-I-U-S to every extent. His lyrics have made me laugh, cry, get over heart-break, and find new love. I honestly suggest going to Youtube and finding the performance he did of "Crush'd".

Well, now I'm actually wrapping it up. Got nothin more to say.

You're all beautiful, and I love you.

Last night...

Last night was...well...pardon the pun but, wild, went to see "Where the Wild Things Are" with FrAnk, Lester, Crystal, and Lenard, beautiful movie, made me cry like an infant, but who cares, it's nostalgia/ my childhood.

Onto the part that makes it amazing, I saw my Sunshine, Amanda, and in the brief moment I did see her, it all came back, all my love for her in one brief encounter, feelings I thought had been long gone.

So yes, when you read this Sunshine (I say "when" because I'm linking you too it) I want you to know how I really truly feel. I love you, more than I've probably loved anyone else, I honestly didn't think it possible, I thought that ------- broke my heart beyond future use, but I was extremely wrong. It may be the lack of sleep talking, but I highly doubt it, just...call me when you get the chance, you know the number.

Hello Apollo, where shall I begin?

I've realized something over the past few days, paying $4.00 for a bottle of pomegranate juice, is worth it, It's really good, random thought over. So, the name's Justin, as most of you reading this will already know, and yes, the user-name fits my personality, ask anyone I know, I am an absolute music JUNKIE, I will ramble forever about most things musical.

I'm also a junkie for Magic the Gathering, I have a decent size group of friends that I play with. I'm beginning to realize that this is a HORRIBLE introduction, but oh well, this is how I do things.

I can't think right now, I'll type more later.
